DISTRICT LEGACY ATHLETES {DLA}
How Does it Work?
Athletes make money with NIL {name.image.likeness} from social media marketing, commercials, personal appearances, autographs, merchandise, NFTs, camps, clinics, lessons, creating their own products, playing video games and even fan shout outs.
We have founded DLA to help find and secure NIL deals. We leverage our years of experience and merge it with our extensive exisiting industry contacts and relationships with companies that thrive in the athletic apparel, fast food, tech and automotive spaces just to name a few to create incredible opportunities for our athletes.
We are searching for Elite professional, college and high school athletes to partner with that want to take control of their image. We know the laws by state, industry standards and always working to create opportunities.

What is NIL for the Student-Athlete?
On June 30, 2021, the Division 1 Board of Directors approved an interim name, image and likeness (NIL) policy. This new policy allows all NCAA D1, D2 and D3 student-athletes to be compensated for their NIL as of July 1, 2021, regardless of whether their state has a NIL law in place or not.
College student-athletes competing in states without an NIL law will have the freedom to receive compensation for their NIL however they see fit, as long as they do not violate pay-for-play or receive financial incentives to sign with or remain at a program.

The new era of college sports did mean something, however, for the CIF {California Intescholastic Federation}and other high school associations. Their athletes were now able to turn a profit, if allowed, and not put their amateur status at risk with the NCAA.
The rules governing high school athletes must comply with current NCAA and state regulations and standards. Once a prospective recruit submits their deposit and/or signs their National Letter of Intent, this triggers their collegiate student-athlete status.
Not all state rules and regulations are the same but most states offer some type of guidance for high school and college Athlete agreements for commercial endorsements as long as the endorsement isn’t affiliated with the athlete’s school or team.
